As one of the most precious cultures in Taiwan, General Village, a Military dependents' villages in Hsinchu, is not only a historical place, but a wonderful memory shared by locals. In General Village, you could see the old trace from the details. Walk into here and close your eyes, imagine you are a native. Use your mind with imagination to feel the life of General Village. Even after the renovation, you could still feel the antique style and technological sense striking the perfect balance. Through planting new ideas in historic buildings, the local memories are preserved and will be continued in General Village.

將軍村位於新竹市金城新村原本為金門防衛司令部，是經由歷任將軍到此居住辦事而得名，當時這裡是軍事地，封不同地名，每一個封地有一百坪，原有89棟房子，現在分為六個里：武功里、偉功里、軍功里、立功里、建功里、豐功里，其中保留15棟，存放在將軍村圖書資訊園區內。

這裡擁有建於民國50年代的甲級眷舍，承載著曾經在823砲戰中奮力保衛台灣的高階將領的生活痕跡，隨著時間推移，60餘年之後，現在又是什麼樣貌了呢？

2023年11月盛大開幕的將軍村，以不同的視角來展現它的過去與現在。濃厚的眷村文化，美味的眷村食物，在地的農產及工藝店家，以及戶外的可食地景與週期性小農市集，給您帶來不同的五感體驗。培力人才，促進周邊社區及大專院校共同參與的「社區共創」，將傳統生活智慧融入科技，創造新生活溫度的「永續生活」，歡迎您來體驗一場文青之旅。
