將軍村步行導覽系列一：認識將軍村

As one of the most precious cultures in Taiwan, General Village, a Military dependents' villages in Hsinchu, is not only a historical place, but a wonderful memory shared by locals. In General Village, you could see the old trace from the details. Walk into here and close your eyes, imagine you are a native. Use your mind with imagination to feel the life of General Village. Even after the renovation, you could still feel the antique style and technological sense striking the perfect balance. Through planting new ideas in historic buildings, the local memories are preserved and will be continued in General Village.

將軍村位於新竹市金城新村原本為金門防衛司令部，是經由歷任將軍到此居住辦事而得名，當時這裡是軍事地，封不同地名，每一個封地有一百坪，原有八十九棟房子，這裡現今目前剩十五棟，現在分為有六個里：武功里、偉功里、軍功里、立功里、建功里、豐功里。

目前以文教、科技與多元文化，在建築、自然、生活、知識、文化的方面重新復甦此地的歷史與創新，提供生活各方面的知識，提供民眾參觀學習；有大地學食物森林由梧桐基金會做規劃，樸門農法於園區內種植各式各樣的植物，可食用與用於料理。修復學心靈與心理無形的重建，有手作DIY工作坊可以參與。

將軍村是眷村文化濃厚的地方，值得認識與參觀，推薦大家來此體驗將軍村生活百科四大主題，從來源清楚、製程透明的農食，帶動上下游產業鏈的「在地農產」；結合生活美學打造工藝職人舞台的「生活工藝」。培力人才，促進周邊社區及大專院校共同參與的「社區共創」；將傳統生活智慧融入科技，創造新生活溫度的「永續生活」；這裡與在地品牌合作市集活動，歡迎來體驗文青之旅。
